How the informal letter differs from formal letter?
We uses the informal letter to communicate with our family or with friends. It can be used on e-mail or the regular post mail. And the formal letters are used when we are directing to an authority or an important person.
The informal letter only have the unique purpose of being informative and communicative between two or (rarely) more persons. It could be written by anybody and follows an easy format.
The formal letter is more serious because it is used to request something specifically with a very polite language.
